The article in Hindi in the second section shows that Hindus are ready to look at non-sectarian Vedic texts. The translation in literature is however not matched by translation in philosophy. The latter are still stuck in Delhi/ Kolkata/ Bombay which is dominated by British colonial views of British political dominance, which means Indian culture has looked at through these perspectives. As a result, when people who are interested in Hinduism but not necessarily westernized Hindus take on the project of Indianizing Hinduism, they tend to remain stuck with this view of religion. This view continues to influence contemporary thought among English speaking Hindus who have little appreciation for Indian culture and just see it as an eastern religion. It just comes as a wrong perception to think that Indian culture is essentially western and Hinduism is essentially eastern. Hinduism includes both western and Eastern elements. All the philosophers who have lived in India have been Hindus. There is a tradition of rewriting Hindu texts in Sanskrit without changing the meaning at all except by different words used. While modern westerners may be amazed at this skill, the original Indian thinkers knew exactly what they were doing to create a tradition for future scholars to understand Hinduism from their point of view, precisely as has been done for Christianity, which means that these thinkers understood what they were doing very well. In order to appreciate this issue one has to understand the way non-westerners look at European traditions. Major world historians, such as Lynn White and others have pointed out that the West has shown itself to be very racist in its early history. It was not until the Renaissance when people began to look at non-western writings and began to see them in a different light. This change came with people such as Leonardo da Vinci who saw the beauty in many non-western religious texts and began to see them in a different light. This change also included people such as Michelangelo who saw the value of Greco-Roman art which up until then had been looked down upon. Western scholars are therefore used to seeing Hinduism through white western eyes which is one reason why they are unable to appreciate Indian non-sectarian Hindu texts. The origin of the site can be traced back to the academic study of Bharatiya traditions in 1989 at the Department of Sanskrit, University of Pune. The study was published in 1990 by Professor B. N. Acharya and Dr. C.V. Dandekar in the book "Sanskrit Literature: A Study Based on Reference Works". The research work for writing this book was done by a team that consisted of Shri Vasant Gokhale, Shri Vishnu Nirmalkar Basak, Dr. Jayant Apte and Shri Dattatreya Warsi from 1982 to 1989 under the guidance of Professors BN Acharya and CV Dandekar. cfa1e77820
